After their first 15 games this season, the Crowder Lady Roughriders ranked first in free throw attempts and second in free throws made in NJCAA Division I, only behind Northwest in the latter category.

Northwest and Crowder have similar free throw stats — 308 for 435 (70.8 percent) for Northwest and 297-450 (66 percent) for Crowder.

The Lady ‘Riders average 30 free throw attempts per game, with 28 against Missouri Valley JV, 42 against John Wood, 45 against Eastern Oklahoma, 28 against Seminole State, 15 against Lone Star, 25 against Kilgore, 41 against Murray State, 19 against Northern Oklahoma Enid, 33 against Seminole State, 24 against Redlands, 47 against Labette, 16 against Murray State, 30 against Labette, 34 against Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, and 23 against Eastern Oklahoma.

Crowder’s best shooting night percentage wise was 87.5 (14-16) against Murray State and worst was 50 against Seminole State (14-28) and Redlands (12-24).

The free throw numbers have played a huge part in helping Crowder to its 11-4 start.
