WARSAW — The Diamond Wildcats, behind one first place and a trio of second place finishers, took 11th overall in the Warsaw Invitational on Saturday with 101 points.

Marceline, state-ranked in Class 1, won the tournament with 240.5 points, the only team to surpass 200 points.

Justin McGough (285 pounds) won first with a 4-2 decision against Father Tolton’s Monroe Mills in the finals. En route to the finals, McGough pinned Sherwood’s Turner Depew in 19 seconds, Versailles’ Joe Shady in 43 seconds, Butler’s Wain Walker in 35 seconds, and Buffalo’s Levi Kenady in 3:45. McGough improved to 32-8 overall this season.

Triston Kralicek (113) was pinned by Marceline’s Cooper Fisher in 52 seconds in the finals, but won two matches by pin and two by decision en route to the finals. Kralicek pinned El Dorado Springs’ Skyler Mansell in 56 seconds, pinned Father Tolton’s Paul Wilson in 4:26, won a 5-2 decision against Buffalo’s Lizzie Miller, and won a 1-0 decision against Bolivar’s Canyon Cunningham.

Austin Behler (120) went 4-1 in the tournament en route to second, pinning Buffalo’s Tyler Parnosky in 3:12, Tipton’s Jadelyn Woolery in 3:04, Marceline JV’s Alias Dauber in 1:30, and Lone Jack’s Brenden Shepard in 2:33. Behler lost a 11-8 decision to Centralia’s A.J. Homes.

Jake McGough (220) finished second and pinned Bolivar’s Jack Roweton in 1:25, Sherwood JV’s Chase VanDyne in 14 seconds, and Butler’s Alix Dickinson.

Other Diamond finishers include Austin Suhrie (126) eighth, John Odom (132) seventh, Cameron Addington (138) ninth, Jayce Taylor (145) fifth, and Owen Gray (195) eighth.
