Much like the Crowder baseball team, Crowder softball picked up a bunch of postseason honors with seven players earning all-Region 16 and four players being named all-tournament.

Sophomore outfielder Daryan Torix, freshman infielder Kristen Wade, freshman infielder Kenzie Kallio, sophomore pitcher Maddie Massanelli, and freshman catcher Baylor Miles earned first team and freshman outfielder Eila Infante and sophomore infielder Kenzi Spurgin second team.

Sophomore pitcher Maddie Brown, sophomore infielder Makaila Leonhart, freshman infielder Lexi McClellan, and sophomore infielder Maggy Rieschick earned all-tournament.

Torix, Massanelli, Spurgin, Brown, Leonhart, and Rieschick played on Crowder teams that earned a cumulative record of 109-23 over their time in a Crowder uniform, a 55-win freshman season followed by a 54-win sophomore season.

In 50 games, Torix batted .371 (53 for 143) with 49 runs scored, 15 doubles, four triples, 10 home runs, 51 RBI, 23 walks against 18 strikeouts, and eight stolen bases in eight attempts. Torix slugged .741 with 29 of her 53 hits good for either doubles, triples, or homers.

Wade finished second on the Lady ‘Riders with 62 RBI and she led the way with a .447 average (89-199) with 62 runs scored, 29 doubles, two triples, eight homers, nine walks and nine strikeouts, and nine stolen bases in nine attempts.

Kallio hit .433 (88-203) with a team-high 67 runs scored, 20 doubles, six triples, 52 RBI, 36 walks and 26 strikeouts, and six stolen bases in eight attempts. Kallio reached base nearly 52 percent of the time and her slugging percentage veered on .600.

Massanelli racked up a 27-3 record and a 2.71 ERA her sophomore season with 32 appearances, 31 starts, 20 complete games, and 114 strikeouts and 48 walks over 163 innings. In short, Massanelli was once again a workhorse for the Lady ‘Riders, following up on her freshman season.

Miles made a seismic impact on Crowder her freshman season and it transcends her sensational numbers. She hit .411 (67-163) with 56 runs scored, 24 doubles, one triple, 11 homers, 81 RBI, 22 walks and eight strikeouts, and eight stolen bases in 10 attempts. Miles put up her numbers in 59 games played. She led the team with a .773 slugging percentage and tied Kallio with an on-base percentage of .517.

In 39 games played, Infante hit .394 (39-99) with 33 runs scored, 10 doubles, one triple, one homer, 27 RBI, 13 walks and four strikeouts, and one stolen base.

Spurgin hit .387 (72-186) with 54 runs scored, 16 doubles, four triples, two homers, 48 RBI, 10 walks and 13 strikeouts, and 21 stolen bases in 21 attempts.

Brown was limited during the regular season by injuries but she provided a spark in the circle in the Region 16 tournament. Brown, overall, finished with a 1-1 record and a 0.44 ERA with three saves and she struck out 10 and walked two over 16 innings.

On the season, Leonhart hit .366 (74-202) with 57 runs scored, 13 doubles, two triples, three homers, 46 RBI, 13 walks and 12 strikeouts, and seven stolen bases in seven attempts.

On the season, McClellan hit .358 (68-190) with 57 runs scored, nine doubles, two triples, four homers, 37 RBI, eight walks and 25 strikeouts, and a team-high 37 stolen bases in 37 attempts.

Rieschick hit .402 (41-102) in 38 games with 35 runs scored, eight doubles, two triples, two homers, 27 RBI, nine walks and 17 strikeouts, and nine stolen bases in nine attempts.

Crowder finished 54-13 overall and second in the Region 16 tournament.
