The Neosho Lady Wildcats played some of their best tennis of the 2018 season thus far during Tuesday’s Central Ozark Conference dual against Carl Junction at the Neosho Tennis Courts, but it was still not enough to enter the win column in a varsity match.

Carl Junction gave Neosho a 9-0 defeat to drop the Lady Wildcats to 0-3 overall and 0-2 COC.

In singles competition, No. 1 Emily Mitchell lost 8-6 to Abigail Hodson, No. 2 Sarah Werner lost 8-6 to Taylor Storm, No. 3 Julie Phillips lost 8-1 to Morgan Wilkins, No. 4 Michelle Lindsay lost 8-5 to Tatum Graham, No. 5 Morgan Brattin lost 8-2 to Kennedy Bandy, and No. 6 Rylee Marion lost 8-2 to Shirley Sherwood.

On the doubles side, No. 1 Mitchell-Phillips lost 8-1 to Hodson-Storm, No. 2 Werner-Lindsay lost 8-3 to Wilkins-Graham, and No. 3 Brattin-Marion lost 8-2 to Bandy-Sherwood.

On the JV side, Khali Johnson and Taaliyah Oates, Emily Galbraith and Shyanne Reed, and Johnson lost their respective doubles and singles matches.

The Lady Wildcats continue their week long home stand with duals Wednesday against Monett and Thursday against Ozark at the Neosho Tennis Courts.
