LAMAR — The Neosho Gold fifth grade football team remained unbeaten with a 26-0 victory
over Lamar on Saturday.

On the defensive side, Brody Crane led the way with a ridiculously good 18 tackles and No. 24 picked off a pair of passes and returned one for a score.

Brett Meyer finished with eight tackles, Micah Reed and Virgil Rosiere each recorded five,
Dayton Kivett made four stops, the quintet of Oliver Martin, Chase Kivett, Carter Howard, Tyler Sprenger, and Spencer Janss each made two, and the quintet of Kade Lawson, Jaden Marek, Aubrey Woodrum, Parker Wilson, and John Chew each made one.

Overall, 15 different Neosho Gold players recorded at least one tackle.

Additionally, Martin intercepted a pass and Marek recovered a fumble.

On the offensive side, Rosiere led Neosho Gold with 78 yards on four carries, highlighted by a
65-yard touchdown on the first carry. Martin rushed for 20 yards and one conversion on four
carries with a long gain of 13 yards. Crane added 16 yards on three carries and scored a TD on a 6-yard run. Howard rushed for 11 yards on the lone carry for No. 22. Meyer had nine yards on two carries, Woodrum six yards on two carries, Reed three yards on one carry, and Larson one yard on a carry.

Woodrum and Crane connected on a 25-yard scoring pass.

Neosho Gold improved to 4-0 and returns to action Saturday at home against Joplin Blue. This
is the final home game of the season for Neosho Gold teams and they play Carl Junction on
September 29 and Webb City Blue on October 6.
