ANDERSON — The McDonald County Mustangs defeated the Cassville Wildcats 45-30 in a dual Tuesday.

Ryan Donica (106 pounds) won by forfeit, as did Jacob Owens (126) and Oscar Ortiz (132) for 18 McDonald County points.

Elsewhere for the Mustangs, Eh Doh Say (113) won a 13-6 decision, Jordan Meador (138) pinned Ethan Fuchs in 1:45, Jack Teague (152) pinned Jose Melchor in 4:26, Jesus Ocampo (170) pinned Michael Morgan in 32 seconds, and Jarred Maggard (285) pinned Evan Kessinger in 2:58.

Cassville's Gabe Hunter (120) pinned Austin Reece in 1:39, Keaton Artherton (145) pinned Junior Teriek in 3:15, and Brody Barbee (160) pinned Alberto Valdez in 3:12, and Nate Boley (195) and Garrett Klitz (285) each won by forfeit to collect all Cassville points by either fall or forfeit.

McDonald County returned to action Thursday against Springfield-area schools Glendale and Parkview.

Due to inclement weather concerns on Saturday, officials moved the inaugural Big 8 Conference Tournament up a day to Friday. Wrestling begins at 4 p.m.

Cassville, Hollister, Logan-Rogersville, Marshfield, McDonald County, Monett, Nevada, Reeds Spring, Seneca, Springfield Catholic are the competing schools.

Monett and Logan-Rogersville are ranked No. 1 and No. 3, respectively, in Class 2 and Seneca's ranked No. 4 in Class 1.

Those three schools alone combine for 18 ranked wrestlers.

Ranked wrestlers include Brayden Thiel No. 6 at 106, Levi Connelly No. 1 at 113, Kendon Pollard No. 6 at 120, Dalton Hembree No. 2 at 152, Zane Cotten No. 6 at 160, and Dayton Fields No. 1 at 170 for Seneca.

Monett's seven includes Karter Brink No. 1 at 126, Matthew Bahl No. 1 at 132, Joseph Semerad No. 3 at 138, Elias Barrientos No. 4 at 145, Gunnar Bradley No. 4 at 160, Wesley Merriman No. 6 at 220, and Raymond Villalta No. 5 at 285.

Logan-Rogersville's five includes Preston Sleeth No. 4 at 113, Gabe Brandenberg No. 1 at 120, Riley Williams No. 6 at 126, Jay Strausbaugh No. 1 at 138, and Barrett Bearid No. 5 at 220.

Other ranked wrestlers include McDonald County's Ortiz (Class 3 No. 2 at 126), Marshfield's Clay Wilson (Class No. 4 at 182), and Nevada's Caleb Longobardi (Class 2 No. 3 at 285).
