The Crowder Lady Roughriders dropped to 11-14 overall and 2-3 Region 16 after their 65-56 loss Saturday afternoon to Mineral Area at Bob Sneller Gymnasium.

Mineral Area, who earned its sixth consecutive win to improve to 18-5 overall, outscored Crowder 41-24 in the middle quarters (20-10 in the second, 21-14 in the third). The Lady Cardinals went on a 16-2 run to end the third quarter and a 20-2 run overall to take a 58-38 lead early in the fourth.

Crowder led 14-13 after one quarter, but Mineral Area took the lead back for good with the first seven points of the second. The Lady ‘Riders made it a 38-36 game in the third after eight straight points, including Maegan Bandimere and Sydney Linny 3-point baskets.
