WEBB CITY — The Webb City Lady Cardinals ended Neosho’s six-game winning streak with a 11-1 final Tuesday in Central Ozark Conference play.

The Lady Cardinals have two wins against Neosho this season, defeating the Lady Wildcats 6-0 earlier this season.

On Tuesday, Webb City scored a run in the first, three in the third, four in the fourth, one in the fifth, and ended the game with two in the sixth, while Neosho managed just one in the fourth.

Lili Graue led Neosho with a pair of hits and she crossed home plate for the Lady Wildcats’ lone run and McKaylie Forrest had the other hit against Webb City starter Haidyn Berry.

Berry allowed one run (unearned) on three hits with 10 strikeouts and one walk. Berry proved overpowering with 76.7 percent of her 73 total pitches good for strikes.

Neosho senior Kyla Daspit took the loss and she allowed 11 runs (eight earned) on 15 hits with no strikeouts and no walks over 5 2/3 innings.

Reanna Blinzelt and Keira Jackson homered for Webb City, Peyton Hawkins tripled, Berry doubled twice, and Stacy Tyndall rounded out the extra base hit onslaught with a double. Hawkins, Alyssa Jennings, Berry, Karson Culver, Emma Welch, and Blinzler each had two hits and Hawkins, Jackson, Jennings, and Blinzler each scored two runs.

Neosho dropped to 12-6 overall and 3-3 COC entering a conference game Thursday at home against Nixa. The Lady Eagles have won three of their last four games, their only loss during that stretch 11-0 against Webb City.

Webb City improved to 13-3 overall entering a game Thursday against conference and district foe Republic. The Lady Tigers were 12-6 entering the day Thursday just like Neosho.
