Free COVID-19 testing to be held in Neosho this week

As COVID-19 confirmed case numbers continue to rise in Neosho and Newton County, the Newton County Health Department has announced that a COVID-19 test opportunity will take place on Friday and Saturday in Neosho. Testing is for any Missouri resident, with or without symptoms. No doctor's order is necessary and testing will be performed for no charge.

The testing is one of multiple COVID-19 testing opportunities performed by the Missouri National Guard in cooperation with the Missouri State Department of Health and Senior Services and local county health departments statewide.

Testing will take place at the Rocketdyne Road Church of Christ in Neosho on Friday, June 26 from 7 a.m. through 3 p.m. and on Saturday, June 27 from 10 a.m. through 6 p.m.

It will be a drive-through test and participants will not need to leave their vehicles.

The test consists of a PCR nasopharyngeal swab.

Walk-ins onsite will be accepted if appointment slots are available but it's recommended to make an appointment.

The Rocketdyne Road Church of Christ is located at 1111 Rocketdyne Road in Neosho. All testing is free of charge and open to every Missouri resident.
