Local veteran honored by Missouri House

Ralph Staib, 97, of Neosho, Missouri was presented a Missouri House of Representatives Resolution for his service in the United States Army. Bob Bromley, representative for District No. 162, presented Ralph the award in a ceremony at his home attended by family and friends on July 8, 2020. Rose Miley, Avalon Hospice, and several associates made arrangements for the ceremony and served refreshments. Staib received countless awards and honors for his dutiful service to his country including the Bronze Battle Star, the Philippines Liberal Ribbon with one bronze battle star, the Victory Medal of Good Conduct, and the Army Occupation Medal for his service in Japan.

 Bromley's district includes portions of both Newton and McDonald Counties.
